The human body
All living organisms are made of cells. Living organisms with a single cell are unicellular organisms: they can exist together in a colony but they do not function together. Living organisms which are made up of many different eukaryotic cells are multicellular organisms. Each cell is organised and has a specific function. There are several levels of organisation.

- All living things perform three vital functions: nutrition, interaction and reproduction.
Interaction
All living beings interact with their environment and with other living things in order to survive. Interaction enables living organisms to recieve and respond to stimulus. We use our senses to get this information, the nervous system , made up of millions of neurons, sends the infomtion to the brain and it analyses the information and decides what to do. Then the brain sends orders through the nerves to the locomotor system, formed by muscles and bones, and it moves accordingly.
